D1.1 — Marine ecosystem monitoring in Malaysia and India

This document is the product of the research phase of the project and compiles information on:

  • the existing situation in India and Malaysia in relation to marine ecosystem monitoring, and specifically in issues related to climate change, blue carbon, plastic and microplastic debris
  • the specific needs on the marine ecosystem monitoring in India and Malaysia
  • the existing legislation for the protection of the marine environment in India and Malaysia
  • relevant good and bad practices on marine ecosytem monitoring from the Partner countries and the EU
